Join your fellow Seattle Carolina Club members to prep and pack meals for the Lifelong Chicken Soup Brigade Saturday, April 27. Up to 12 volunteer spots are available for the 2:30-5 p.m. session at the organization’s kitchen in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood.
Lifelong Chicken Soup Brigade works to improves the nutritional health of individuals with chronic conditions by providing medically appropriate foods. Chicken Soup clients’ health challenges include HIV, diabetes, kidney disease, cancer or disabling arthritis. Most live below the federal poverty level, and all need assistance to manage their nutritional health.

· Date: Saturday, April 27
· Time: 2:30-5 p.m.
· Location: 210 S. Lucile Street, Seattle, 98108 (Georgetown)
· Parking: Free parking is available across the street (until 4pm) and in nearby residential neighborhood. Limited on-site spots may be available in the front parking lot. Nearby bus routes are 131 & 132.
· Entrance: Ring the doorbell at the FAR LEFT when facing the building. A staff person will escort volunteers inside.
· What to Expect: Volunteers work as an assembly team during the fun, dynamic and fast-paced process. Volunteers likely will stand throughout the shift. Participants should bring a hair tie, if needed, and wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable, layered clothes. Lifelong will provide clean bandanas, aprons and disposable gloves.
Personal Items: Open cubbies are available for personal items. No locks.
